DAO app Hats Protocol for Web3 teams will shut down its parent company and transition into a public goodForesight News reported that the DAO application Hats Protocol, designed for Web3 teams, has announced it will close its parent company Haberdasher Labs and transform Hats Protocol into a public good. According to the official statement, Hats Protocol was founded on the simple belief that more organizations would operate online and would need the necessary infrastructure to solve issues around responsibility, authorization, and their management. During the project's development, the team realized these challenges were far more complex than expected, involving broader areas such as organizational structure and management. Ultimately, the project did not achieve the network effects and revenue necessary for commercial sustainability. The smart contracts of Hats Protocol remain unchanged, and users can continue to use them without the need for migration or any action. In addition, the entire technology stack is now open source, allowing users to deploy or build it themselves. The project will keep its hosted resources online until the end of the year.
