Bittensor Co-founder: Protocol to Become Fully Decentralized Over the Next 18 MonthsBlockBeats News, June 22nd, Bittensor co-founder Const published a lengthy article, systematically elaborating on the current centralization governance status of the project and the future roadmap towards decentralization. He stated that Bittensor has not yet achieved a fully decentralized state similar to Bitcoin, but this is not a design flaw; it is a strategic choice made by the project in the rapid evolution phase of artificial intelligence. Unlike Bitcoin, which faced challenges from national financial systems at the beginning of its birth, AI is still in its early development stage. Therefore, Bittensor chooses to prioritize innovation speed and protocol iteration efficiency. The core team leads key upgrades to continuously optimize the network mechanism and economic model rather than prematurely entering a slow on-chain governance phase.
Const emphasized that Bittensor has already achieved decentralization at the most critical levels, including token distribution, network ownership, and ecosystem participation rights. Since its launch, the project has never engaged in pre-mining, has been operational for over five years, and has distributed TAO to global contributors through an open competitive mechanism. The current ecosystem has 128 subnet teams, over 20 core validator teams, as well as numerous independent developers and community members. Anyone can build a subnet, participate in mining, or use AI services on the network without permission. In his view, Bittensor has achieved "decentralization of ownership," with the partially centralized aspects mainly focusing on the protocol's core development direction and upgrade decision-making, similar to the early stages of Bitcoin development led by Satoshi Nakamoto.
Looking ahead, Bittensor plans to enhance validator competition mechanisms, introduce bidirectional trading and shorting features in open liquidity pools, incorporate Alpha token holder governance rights (Conviction mechanism), continuously optimize TaoFlow and DTAO emission distribution models, and clean up teams that have long only extracted value without contributing to ecosystem development to further improve network efficiency and capital allocation capabilities. The founder expects that in approximately the next 18 months, when the incentive mechanism, value discovery mechanism, and ownership system operate in synergy, Bittensor will gradually complete the final protocol ossification and comprehensive decentralization. At that time, the core team will relinquish control, allowing the network to run independently in a programmatic, tamper-resistant manner, ultimately realizing its vision of a "Millennial Intelligent Federation."

Intel CEO Sets Ambitious Goal for 10x Return in 10 YearsBlockBeats News, June 22: Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger recently stated in a "No Priors" podcast interview that his return target for Intel is to achieve a "10x within 5 to 10 years." He mentioned that Intel is restructuring its technology roadmap around advanced packaging, new semiconductor materials, and next-generation substrate technologies.
Gelsinger stated that Intel is focusing on advanced packaging technologies such as EMIB and Foveros, as well as new materials such as gallium nitride, silicon carbide, indium phosphide, and lab-grown diamonds to address the challenges of approaching the physical limits of traditional process nodes. He also mentioned that the surge in AI and inference workloads is driving a CPU demand recovery, and the true potential of Intel's foundry business may gradually emerge after 2030.
