AMD, Cisco, Humain Begin Operating AI Infrastructure in Saudi Arabia

08:00 AM EDT, 08/31/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Cisco Systems (CSCO), and Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund's Humain unit said Monday that their AMD Instinct Systems joint venture built on Cisco Silicon One-based AI networking has begun serving Humain customers. The companies said the AI platform allows Humain to offer GPU-as-a-service across multiple use cases, including model training and inferencing. The companies said they intend to expand the system and deploy up to 250 megawatts of AI infrastructure using AMD Instinct MI400 series GPUs, AMD EPYC CPUs, and AMD ROCm open software through Cisco's networking and critical infrastructure. Deployment of the next phase of the buildout is planned to start in 2027, the companies said, adding the joint venture is on track to deploy up to 1 GW of AI infrastructure by 2030.
