12:33 PM EDT, 10/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms (META) investments in artificial intelligence could drive stronger advertising performance and accelerate revenue growth as the company expands monetization of its AI products, UBS said in a note Thursday. The bank expects optimized versions of Meta's Muse model to improve ad targeting and content recommendations. It also sees faster monetization of Business AI and Muse as potential drivers of revenue growth in 2027 and 2028. UBS raised its 2027 and 2028 revenue estimates by about 1% and 2%, respectively, following Meta's latest results. UBS analysts now expect revenue of $317.3 billion in 2027 and $379.2 billion in 2028, while leaving its expense estimates largely unchanged. UBS maintained a buy rating and raised its price target to $892 from $884. Price: 651.66, Change: -45.86, Percent Change: -6.57

Western Digital (WDC.US) CFO refutes claims of AI demand peaking: No signs of weakening, if it cools down it could help us catch up with the demand gap

Western Digital's CFO expressed strong support for AI storage demand, stating that hyperscale cloud providers are continuously increasing capital expenditures and have engaged in discussions regarding supply needs through 2030 to 2031. Although the company's quarterly results exceeded expectations and profit guidance was raised, capital expenditure more than doubled compared to the same period last year, putting pressure on free cash flow. This has sparked concerns in the market about the sustainability of returns on AI data center investments. The stock closed down by about 3% on Friday.
