On Thursday, France's 10-year government bond yield exceeded that of the US 10-year Treasury yield for the first time since 2013, reflecting growing investor concerns over the deteriorating fiscal situation and increasing debt burden in France. France's 10-year government bond yield rose to around 5.09% that day, up by 8 basis points, while the US 10-year Treasury yield fell to 5.08%, down by 6.5 basis points. On Thursday, stock market volatility unsettled investors, prompting a renewed flow of funds into US Treasuries and causing US Treasury yields to decline.
