Crypto analyst KepMatrix has urged $XRP investors to focus on achievable price milestones, stating that attention should remain on whether the token can realistically climb to $10 before setting their sights on higher levels such as $100 or $1,000.
KepMatrix questions soaring XRP targets, says $10 must come first
KepMatrix urges realistic price expectations for XRP
Sharing his views on the social media platform X, KepMatrix stated that breaking the $10 mark would serve as a key progress indicator for XRP, underscoring that higher price forecasts remain speculative unless foundational growth occurs first.
He emphasized that while some investors discuss triple- or quadruple-digit targets for XRP, these scenarios hinge on substantial increases in real-world adoption and utility, which he considers unlikely in the immediate future.
KepMatrix argued that the current pace of development does not justify expectations for significant price surges and cautioned against assuming high valuations are inevitable without evidence of expanding use cases.
The analyst maintains that unless XRP can first cross $10, there is no logical reason for investors to expect the token to reach $100 or $1,000, calling for a step-by-step approach guided by measurable progress.
Discussing token burning, KepMatrix dismissed the idea that XRP’s built-in burn mechanism could meaningfully reduce supply in the near or medium term. He observed that even with ongoing transactions on the XRP Ledger, the rate of token destruction is too slow to significantly impact overall supply for tens of thousands of years.
Instead, he called for a focus on demand and adoption, highlighting that true price appreciation depends on increasing utility rather than relying solely on supply reductions.
Debate among XRP investors
KepMatrix’s viewpoint sparked discussion within the XRP community. Some members, such as Solxhin, countered that initial stages of adoption and shifting expectations could help XRP reach new highs, even if major real-world usage is still developing.
Others, like Deoland589, acknowledged the significance of the $10 threshold, suggesting that reaching this milestone could open the door to further gains. While many in the community remain skeptical of predictions above $10, this commenter proposed that market sentiment and expectations might evolve over time.
A more cautious stance emerged from users like XRP 002, who pointed out the need to monitor whether XRP maintains a sustained upward trajectory, rather than focusing solely on specific price targets.
Real-world adoption and infrastructure progress
KepMatrix linked his argument to the gradual rollout of physical artificial intelligence centers, noting that increased deployment of real-world infrastructure could take several more years before supporting broad-scale adoption envisioned by some XRP advocates.
He cited the current pace of AI infrastructure growth as insufficient for rapid near-term gains, arguing instead for a patient, long-term outlook among holders.
He reiterated that ambitious predictions for XRP’s price should be supported by measurable on-chain adoption and utilization, rather than speculative market sentiment.
KepMatrix encouraged the community to distinguish aspirational price forecasts from developments grounded in the current state of adoption and infrastructure, urging investors to approach $XRP as a long-term holding and to avoid speculative expectations unsupported by market fundamentals.

Deutsche Bank, which "accurately called the top" two weeks ago: Tech stocks need to "fall another 5%" to reach the "long-term trend bottom"
After Deutsche Bank downgraded its rating on US tech and large-cap growth stocks two weeks ago, tech stocks have underperformed the rest of the S&P 500 components by 12 percentage points. However, Deutsche Bank noted that tech stocks still have about 5 percentage points of downside before reaching the bottom of their long-term trend channel. Institutional positions have been quickly cooling, and signs of outflows from the $30 billion bottom-fishing funds are beginning to appear. Going forward, earnings performance, capital flows, and external risks will determine whether the adjustment stops at structural rotation.
