U.S. regulators are reviewing Tesla Robotaxi for speeding in school zones.

Tesla is facing scrutiny from U.S. automotive safety regulators due to allegations that its self-driving taxis have exceeded speed limits near schools, posing a new obstacle to the company’s slowly developing Robotaxi business. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration stated that it is assessing claims that Tesla Cybercab and Model Y models, when operating with the autonomous driving system enabled, have sped through school speed limit zones. According to documents released by the agency on Monday, the investigation stems from a recently submitted petition that includes video evidence of several such incidents.
