06:26 AM EDT, 10/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- DataMeds AI (MEDS) said Monday its Helomics subsidiary received a Medicaid coverage determination from Humana (HUM) for its ChemoFx test in gynecologic cancers. The company said the test measures how a patient's live tumor cells respond to chemotherapy drugs. Under Humana's policy, eligible members with gynecologic cancers may qualify for coverage in cases including rare cancers without established treatment guidelines, initial biopsy or surgery, recurrent disease, treatment-resistant cancer or inability to tolerate recommended treatment, the company said. The policy took effect July 22, 2026, and does not apply to all Humana plans, it added. Shares of the company were up more than 38% in Monday's premarket activity. US stocks remain high, but Americans are increasingly anxious: Consumer confidence falls to a five-month low, inflation expectations rise for the second consecutive month

The University of Michigan's final Consumer Sentiment Index for October stood at 48, reaching a five-month low, but exceeded market expectations. Consumers' one-year inflation expectation rose to 4.7%, and their long-term inflation expectation for the next five to ten years rose to 3.5%, both the highest since May this year and marking a second consecutive month of increase. While the S&P 500 Total Return Index has climbed to record highs, U.S. consumer sentiment remains near historic lows, with the divergence between the two reaching a record extreme.
