03:17 PM EDT, 10/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks were mixed late Monday afternoon, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) rising 0.7% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) shedding 0.3%. The Philadelphia Semiconductor index rose 0.3%. In corporate news, Meta Platforms (META) and Microsoft (MSFT) are reducing employees' use of Anthropic's Claude as they push their own AI tools, The Information reported. Meta shares were up 2%, and Microsoft rose 2.1%.
