Worldcoin jumps 10%, targets $0.72 after bullish breakout

Worldcoin (WLD) surged 10% to trade near $0.56, breaking out from a long-term descending channel and signaling potential upside toward the $0.72 resistance zone. The move was accompanied by elevated trading volumes and technical indicators pointing to strengthened momentum in the short term.

WLD breaks multi-month downtrend

The latest rally pushed Worldcoin above the upper boundary of a multi-month descending structure that had restricted price action for much of 2026. After clearing the $0.56 level, the token entered a technically significant zone, ending a period of lower highs and consolidations.

Worldcoin’s price had rebounded strongly from its May 2026 low of $0.2279, yet it still trades far below its March 2024 all-time high of $11.82. Market data showed WLD fluctuating between $0.50 and $0.58 over the past 24 hours, with trading volume around 156% above the 20-session average.

Further technical analysis highlighted the importance of maintaining the breakout level, as a failed retest could quickly send prices back to previous lows. RSI readings near 63.5 and ADX at approximately 32.7 supported the move with positive momentum and trend strength.

Price Point Status Relevant Indicator

Key resistance levels ahead

WLD faces immediate resistance between $0.575 and $0.585, with the upper Bollinger Band and recent session highs marking this cluster. A sustained breakout above this area could bring $0.63 into focus as the next technical hurdle.

Separate technical studies identified a rounding-bottom and cup-and-handle pattern, with broader resistance cited at $0.72. Market analysts at Invezz pointed to $0.7124 as the next major technical target, noting that Worldcoin recently crossed above its 50-day moving average, which is typically a bullish signal.

One market report assessed that for WLD to confirm higher targets, it must first secure ongoing closes above $0.58–$0.60 and maintain current momentum levels.

Support levels and trend strength

The recent price surge followed a breakout from a $0.48–$0.52 consolidation range.

Key support remains at $0.52. A retest and hold of this level would reinforce the bullish case, while a sustained drop below $0.50 could undermine the breakout structure. Worldcoin is currently trading above all major moving averages, including the 10-, 20-, 30-, 50-, 100-, and 200-period marks, with the 20-period EMA near $0.47-$0.48 and the 50-period EMA at $0.43.

Momentum indicators such as the daily RSI in the low to mid-60s suggest positive, but not overextended, conditions. The MACD remains positive, and the ADX indicates firm trend strength around 32. Short-term metrics like the Commodity Channel Index and Stochastic indicators, however, are entering overbought territory, suggesting a possibility of upcoming consolidation or pullback. Bollinger Bands show price approaching their upper edge, and the ATR hovers around 9% of market price, reflecting heightened volatility.

About Worldcoin and ecosystem developments

Worldcoin is a digital identity and financial ecosystem using blockchain technology to provide privacy-preserving solutions for user authentication. WLD functions as the network’s native token and underpins governance and payments across what is now called the “World” ecosystem.

The World Foundation oversees the protocol, while Tools for Humanity—a technology company—supports the ecosystem’s infrastructure. Worldcoin’s tokenomics feature a 10 billion supply cap, with inflation rules set to remain unchanged until at least 2038, subject to protocol governance votes.

A core component of the project, World ID, uses its Orb device to establish proof of personhood, enabling users to interact with supported services without revealing excess personal information.

Outlook for WLD

In the near term, resistance at $0.575–$0.585 is the key level for bulls. If WLD achieves a daily close above this area, the next targets are $0.63 and, more broadly, the $0.72 technical objective noted in several market reports. Upside projections as high as $2.18, $4.21, and $11.97 have been identified, but significant resistance and consolidation zones remain on the way.

On the downside, support levels at $0.55–$0.56 and then $0.48–$0.50 are crucial. A drop below these zones could return Worldcoin to previous consolidation phases and challenge the breakout narrative. As WLD sits at the upper end of its recent range, its ability to hold above former resistance and avoid sharp pullbacks will determine if $0.72 becomes the next significant test.

Level Status Impact if breached
$0.575–$0.585 Immediate resistance Sustained break may target $0.63
$0.63 Secondary resistance Next hurdle for bulls
$0.72 Major technical objective Confirmation required above breakout levels
$0.55–$0.56 Primary support Drop may weaken structure
$0.48–$0.50 Secondary support Return to consolidation risk

The most direct signal that US stocks have peaked: South Korean chip exports?

Currently, the U.S. stock market is supported solely by strong earnings expectations. If semiconductor exports from South Korea and Taiwan decline, it may provide an early warning 3-6 months in advance of capital expenditure peaking. Once expectations reverse, high yields will instantly crush valuations.
