06:00 AM EDT, 09/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM) is considering an investment in Texas to boost its US chip production, several news outlets reported Tuesday, citing sources familiar with the matter. The company is eyeing six new advanced water fabs and views Dallas as a possible location, according to a Google translation of a report from Taiwan's Economic Daily News. The potential investment in Texas could exceed the $265 million the company spent in Arizona, the report added. The company did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
