- ** Shares of Facebook parent company Meta Platforms (META.O) fell 2.7% in pre-market trading to $730.80, after hitting a more than one-year high last week

** Last week, data showed that its consumer-facing AI assistant Muse (link) surpassed ChatGPT to become the most popular free app on Apple’s App Store and Google Play Store in the United States and Canada, boosting META shares by about 13%

** Muse allows users to delegate tasks such as shopping, booking travel, and filling out forms to the AI assistant

** On Monday, the broader market (link) also declined; most major tech stocks including Alphabet GOOGL.O, Amazon AMZN.O, and Apple AAPL.O slipped slightly

** META shares are on track for their best monthly performance since July 2013; year-to-date, the stock is up more than 13.8%
