The EU Energy Commissioner has sent a letter to ministers of member states stating: We are currently facing an energy price predicament triggered by supply-side issues. EU natural gas reserves are at an exceptionally low level, and the overall situation is not optimistic. However, there is not yet an immediate risk of supply disruption. Thanks to increased liquefied natural gas capacity, the promotion of renewable energy, and a decline in natural gas demand, the EU is now better prepared for energy challenges than it was in the winter of 2021.
