According to foreign media reports, only nine cargo ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday, with eight of them leaving the waterway. The total number for Thursday further declined, dropping from double digits to single digits, with a 10-day average traffic volume of 18. The report stated that among the nine tankers that passed through the Strait of Hormuz yesterday were one Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC), several Panamax and Suezmax tankers, some short-range and medium-range small tankers, as well as one ballast Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC). Meanwhile, Windward reported that on Wednesday, five tankers entered the Strait of Hormuz, including one crude oil tanker, several product tankers, and one liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier. With the renewed escalation of hostilities this month, shipowners and energy exporters have become increasingly cautious about navigating the Strait of Hormuz.
