Bullish Breakout: XRP Completes the Right Shoulder. Here’s Next Target
XRP is up 27.6% on the weekly chart, climbing from $1.25 to $1.58.
On the daily chart, XRP appears to have completed the right shoulder of an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern. This is one of the most recognized bullish reversal structures in technical analysis.
The pattern formed across several months. The left shoulder developed around April and May; the head bottomed out near $1 in late July and early August. The end of August breakout completed the head, and the right shoulder formed through September. The asset has since recovered and is now pressing against the neckline resistance at $1.60.
XRP: BULLISH BREAKOUT
Meanwhile, whales have recently accumulated more than $2 billion worth of XRP.
The Level That Matters
Martinez writes, “Everything comes down to $1.60.” That level sits at the pattern’s neckline. XRP is consolidating just below it, building pressure before its next significant move. A confirmed breakout above $1.60 would complete the inverse head-and-shoulders structure.
According to Martinez, this could trigger an additional 30% rally toward $2. The chart shows price compressing in this zone, consistent with accumulation ahead of a potential upside resolution.
Whale Activity Adds to the Conviction
Technical structure alone does not tell the full story. Martinez also noted that whales have recently accumulated more than $2 billion worth of XRP. That level of institutional-scale buying adds weight to the bullish technical setup.
Large accumulation during a consolidation phase often signals that major market participants are positioning ahead of a move. Combined with the pattern Martinez identified, the mix of on-chain activity and technical structure strengthens the case for a breakout.
The Setup Going Forward
The inverse head-and-shoulders pattern on the XRP daily chart represents a defined, measurable setup. The $1.60 neckline is the trigger. A decisive close above that level confirms the pattern. The 30% target from the breakout point puts XRP at approximately $2, a level that carries both technical and psychological significance.
XRP is currently below that neckline at $1.5663. Martinez’s analysis gives traders a clear structure to watch. The asset is at a decision point, and the next move above $1.60 will determine whether the pattern delivers on its potential.
