Bitcoin Cash Price Prediction: BCH Price Surges 35% as CME Plans BCH Futures Launch

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) has surged sharply, putting the cryptocurrency at a critical technical level after weeks of weaker price action. BCH climbed 35.32% over 24 hours and gained 54.44% during the past week.

The rally pushed BCH toward $358.39, while daily trading volume reached $1.61 billion. Its market capitalization now stands near $7.2 billion. Consequently, traders face a key test around $355.25 as bullish momentum collides with an important resistance zone.

BCH Breaks Above Major Technical Barriers

BCH recently cleared the $321.90 Fibonacci 0.786 level with strong upward momentum. The cryptocurrency also moved above its 200-day EMA near $308.58. Those moves changed the short-term technical structure significantly.

The latest daily candle reached approximately $354.67 before BCH pushed higher. Hence, the $355.25 area now represents an important battleground for buyers and sellers.

A daily close above $355.25 could strengthen the breakout structure. Additionally, such a move would bring the $360 psychological level into focus.

Further gains could expose BCH to higher Fibonacci extension levels. However, traders may also see profit-taking after the unusually rapid advance.

BCH’s momentum indicators show the strength behind the latest rally. The Stoch RSI currently sits near 100 and 97, signaling extremely strong buying momentum.

However, those readings also indicate an overbought market. That condition can encourage short-term consolidation after a steep rally.

Importantly, overbought conditions do not automatically signal a trend reversal. BCH could maintain its upward trajectory if buyers continue defending higher support levels.

The first major support sits near $321.90. A deeper retracement could bring BCH toward the $308.58 200-day EMA.

Below that zone, traders may watch $295.72 and $277.33. The $261.92-$258.95 region also provides additional support from the 20-day EMA and Fibonacci structure.

Derivatives activity has also started to recover alongside BCH’s price advance. Open interest recently approached $600 million after spending considerable time below previous peaks.

Earlier BCH rallies pushed open interest close to $1 billion. Therefore, current positioning remains below those historical levels despite the latest price surge.

A continued rise in open interest alongside BCH could signal stronger speculative participation. Conversely, falling open interest could indicate that traders lack conviction behind the rally.

Spot flows provide another mixed signal. BCH recorded notable inflow spikes during December, January, March, and June.

Since June, however, both inflows and outflows have generally weakened. The latest data show a $1.75 million net outflow near the $356.10 price area.

That modest outflow could reflect some accumulation or exchange withdrawals. Nevertheless, its size suggests less conviction than earlier flow spikes.

CME Group plans to launch BCH futures on October 19, pending regulatory review. The contracts will include standard and Micro Bitcoin Cash futures.

The standard contract will cover 250 BCH, while the Micro contract will cover 25 BCH. Consequently, the smaller contract could provide more flexibility for participants managing smaller exposures.

CME also plans to introduce Uniswap futures alongside BCH contracts. Additionally, the expansion reflects growing demand for regulated derivatives across liquid cryptocurrency markets.

Key levels remain well-defined heading into October:

Upside levels: $360 is the immediate psychological hurdle after BCH cleared $355.25. A sustained breakout could expose higher extension levels as momentum strengthens.

Downside levels: $321.90 is the first major support, followed by $308.58 at the 200-day EMA. Deeper support sits at $295.72 and $277.33.

Resistance ceiling: $355.25 remains the key breakout level, while $360 could become the next major test. A sustained move above these levels would strengthen BCH’s bullish structure.

The technical picture suggests BCH has entered a strong breakout phase after reclaiming the $321.90 Fibonacci 0.786 level and $308.58 200-day EMA. However, the Stoch RSI at 100/97 signals extremely stretched momentum, raising the risk of short-term consolidation.

Bitcoin Cash price prediction for October hinges on whether buyers can defend the $321.90–$308.58 support zone after the latest surge. If BCH holds above $355.25 and clears $360, the breakout could attract additional momentum and push price toward higher extension levels.

However, a rejection near $355.25–$360 could trigger profit-taking and send BCH toward $321.90. Losing that level would expose the 200-day EMA near $308.58.

For now, BCH remains in a pivotal zone. Rising open interest and recent net outflows provide additional market signals, while CME’s planned BCH futures launch could bring greater institutional derivatives participation.
