- Fifty-four Megapacks are planned; the project ranks among Hawaii’s largest battery systems.
- In-service is targeted for 2027; the project supports the utility’s 2045 goal for 100% renewable electricity.
- Maui County currently gets about 41% of electricity from renewables; the system will include grid-forming technology to improve stability.
