Important notice: Futures elite trade system upgrade

Dear Bitget futures elite trader,

As part of the platform-wide unified trading account (UTA) upgrade, we will carry out a phased mandatory migration of the classic futures elite trade system to the new UTA futures elite portfolio model. Please review the upgrade plan in advance and manage your elite trade positions accordingly.

Upgrade schedule

This upgrade will be rolled out in five phases based on the number of copiers. Each subsequent phase will begin only after the stability of the previous phase has been verified:

Phase 1 upgrade details: Elite traders with no copiers

Who will be upgraded?

Classic futures elite traders who currently have no copiers (main accounts/sub-accounts).

When will the upgrade be triggered?

The system will automatically scan accounts and process them in two batches based on account equity, with no manual action required:

• Batch A (equity = 0): For accounts with no funds, positions, or open orders, the system will perform the upgrade immediately;

• Batch B (equity > 0): The system will wait until you close your positions before triggering the upgrade. If there are still unfilled orders, the account will be skipped during the current scan. The system will not cancel orders on your behalf and will check again during the next scan. The upgrade will be performed only when there are no open positions or orders.

What will happen after the upgrade?

• Your elite trade settings (profit share ratio, minimum copy trading amount, maximum number of copiers, and open position protection) will be automatically synced to the new elite portfolio;

• Historical total profit will be accurately calculated based on orders, fully migrated to the new version, and continue to accumulate;ROI will be carried over based on historical daily ROI and will subsequently accumulate in the new version using a time-weighted method. Because ROI from the old version is migrated at daily granularity, there may be minor discrepancies compared with the data before the upgrade. This is normal. Copier profits will also be migrated.

• Sub-account elite traders: The balance in the old elite trade sub-account will be automatically returned to the spot account and then transferred into the new UTA elite trade sub-account once it is created, allowing you to continue elite trading immediately;

• Main-account elite traders: Your upgrade path will depend on whether you have been active in spot elite trading within the past 180 days:

  • If you currently hold spot elite trade assets or have spot elite trade data from within the past 180 days: The upgrade process will be the same as for sub-accounts. The system will first internally migrate your futures elite trader status to the sub-account system and then upgrade you to the new UTA futures elite portfolio model. The balance of the new elite portfolio will be 0. After the upgrade, go to the new Elite Trader Center and transfer in funds for elite trading.

  • If you currently hold no spot elite trade assets and have no spot elite trade data from within the past 180 days: The system will directly revoke your classic futures elite trader status and upgrade you to the UTA futures elite portfolio model. Your spot elite trader status will also be revoked. If you wish to conduct spot elite trades in the future, you may reapply to become a spot elite trader under the new system. The balance of the new elite portfolio will be 0. After the upgrade, transfer in funds for elite trading.

• Elite traders removed due to KYC requirements: If you are currently unable to pass KYC verification and your account has been removed, the system will directly revoke your classic futures elite trader status without migrating it, as KYC verification is a prerequisite for becoming an elite trader. Once you complete KYC verification, you may reapply to become an elite trader.
• Elite trader bio: During the upgrade, the system will automatically sync the elite trader bio you entered in the old version to the new elite portfolio. This will trigger an AI content review. If your bio does not pass the review, the system will automatically clear it without affecting the upgrade process. You will receive an in-app message and can edit your bio again in the new Elite Trader Center after the upgrade is complete.

Once the upgrade is complete, you will receive an in-app message and see a pop-up notification the next time you visit the copy trading site or elite trading section, where you can review the upgrade details.

Recommendations

• Elite traders with copiers (not affected by Phase 1): Phase 1 applies only to accounts with no copiers and will not affect elite traders who currently have copiers. However, please monitor future upgrade announcements, plan your positions accordingly, and ensure your account is in an appropriate state when the upgrade begins.

• Accounts with no copiers: The upgrade will be triggered when you have no open positions or orders. If you currently have open positions or unfilled orders, the system will not cancel them on your behalf. The upgrade will be triggered automatically once the conditions are met. To speed up the upgrade, you can close your positions and cancel all orders in advance.

• Main-account elite traders: Your upgrade path depends on your spot elite trading activity.For elite traders with spot elite trade records from within the past 180 days or who currently hold spot elite trade assets, the system will first internally migrate their futures elite trader status to the sub-account system before upgrading them. Their main-account spot elite trader status will be retained.For elite traders with no spot elite trade records from within the past 180 days and who currently hold no spot elite trade assets, the system will directly revoke their classic futures elite trader status and upgrade them. Their futures and spot elite trader statuses will both be revoked. If they wish to conduct spot elite trades in the future, they may reapply to become spot elite traders under the new system. In both cases, the balance of the new elite portfolio will be 0. Please transfer in funds for elite trading promptly after the upgrade.

• KYC status: If your current KYC verification status is abnormal, the system will directly revoke your elite trader status under the old system without migrating it. Please complete KYC verification before reapplying to become an elite trader.

• Elite trader bio: During the upgrade, the system will automatically sync your bio, but it may be cleared automatically if it does not pass the AI review. After the upgrade, we recommend promptly visiting the new Elite Trader Center to check and edit your bio as needed.
