The three major US stock indexes all closed lower: the Dow Jones fell 0.77%, the Nasdaq dropped 0.64%, and the S&P 500 Index declined 0.48%. The storage sector rose, with SK Hynix up over 7%, Micron Technology up over 2%, and SanDisk up over 1%. The optical communications sector increased, Marvell Technology rose over 4%, and Lumentum gained over 1%. Meta climbed over 6% after the company launched its personal AI agent, Muse.
