Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Track Lower in Wednesday Trading

10:45 AM EDT, 09/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were tracking lower Wednesday morning, declining 0.79% to 2,994.01 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index. From North Asia, the gainers were led by real estate management and digital security company Eason Technology (DXF) and semiconductor company Silicon Motion Technology (SIMO), which rose 3.1% and 2.9% respectively. They were followed by semiconductor company ASE Technology (ASX) and automotive company Honda Motor (HMC), which were up 2.4% and 2% respectively. The decliners from North Asia were led by healthcare platform 111 (YI) and online entertainment service iQIYI (IQ), which fell 5.9% and 5% respectively. They were followed by fintech firm High Templar Tech (HTT) and fashion platform MOGU (MOGU), which were down 4.9% and 3.7% respectively. From South Asia, the gainers were led by computer hardware maker Canaan (CAN) and IT firm Sify Technologies (SIFY), which advanced 3.7% and 1.2.% respectively. They were followed by telecommunications operators PLDT (PHI) and Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK), which increased 0.7% and 0.4% respectively. The decliners from South Asia were led by tech conglomerate Sea (SE) and IT firm Wipro (WIT), which dropped 4.8% and 2% respectively. They were followed by lender HDFC Bank (HDB) and IT firm Infosys (INFY), which lost 1.8% and 1.6% respectively.
