In 2025, the number of stablecoin addresses with frozen funds reached 4,059, setting a new historical record and surpassing the total of the previous four years combined, with total frozen funds exceeding 1.123 billion US dollars.
According to Odaily, in 2025, the number of addresses frozen by the two major stablecoin issuers, Tether and Circle, reached a record high of 4,059, surpassing the combined total of the past four years, which stood at 3,199. Of these, 653 Ethereum addresses and 3,406 TRON addresses were frozen, with the latter almost entirely executed by Tether. The corresponding frozen amounts were 1.1 billion USDT and 23 million USDC respectively.
