07:25 AM EDT, 09/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Franklin Templeton (BEN) agreed to buy a majority stake in European investment firm Stoneshield Capital, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing a statement seen by the news outlet. Stoneshield founders will retain a minority stake and continue to run the firm, the report said. The deal is expected to close in Q4, with financial terms undisclosed, Bloomberg said. Stoneshield will join Franklin's real estate unit Clarion Partners, roughly tripling Clarion's assets under management in Europe, Bloomberg reported. Franklin Templeton did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
