Expert Lists Next XRP Resistance Barriers to Watch As Long As This Support Holds
XRP has pulled back sharply after a strong run. His analysis draws on Glassnode’s URPD, a metric that maps the volume of coins traded at each price level, to identify where buyers and sellers are most likely to act.
The URPD Data
URPD stands for UTXO Realized Price Distribution. It maps the volume of coins last moved at each price level, showing where large concentrations of holders bought in. When the price returns to a heavy URPD cluster, those holders tend to defend their positions, creating natural support.
When the price approaches a cluster from below, those same holders may sell to break even, creating resistance. Martinez used this data to identify the levels most likely to influence XRP’s next move.
The Correction in Context
XRP rallied 71.8% from $0.988 to $1.698 before entering its current pullback. That correction has now reached roughly 20%, pushing price into a zone Martinez calls one of the chart’s most important demand levels.
According to his analysis, approximately 3.2 billion XRP changed hands between $1.35 and $1.38. That volume at a single price range makes it a natural area for buyers to step in.
What the Chart Shows
The URPD data Martinez shared reveals where supply clusters sit across multiple price levels. The heaviest concentration sits at $1.86, where 3.47 billion XRP were traded, making it the most significant resistance level above the current price. Two other notable clusters sit just below it.
Martinez identified $1.60, where 1.99 billion XRP were traded. He also highlighted the asset’s recent peak of $1.68, where 1.98 billion XRP changed hands. Each level represents a zone where sellers may return as price approaches.
The Path Forward
Martinez laid out a clear sequence of resistance levels for traders to monitor. XRP must first reclaim $1.60, then $1.68, before challenging $1.86. His analysis suggests that clearing $1.86 opens the door to a move toward $2.19.
At that level, another 3.12 billion XRP were traded, making it a logical area for the next phase of price discovery. Above that, $2.29 also appears as another potential target for XRP’s next upward move.
