  • Fund Proposal Lifts Bullish MomentumSovereign Fund proposal boosts long-term confidence across the NEAR ecosystem.
  • Whale accumulation and positive Funding Rates support continued bullish momentum.
  • Buyers target $1.85 after defending key support within a bullish pennant.

NEAR Protocol has regained investor attention after several days of steady price gains. A new governance proposal has strengthened the positive outlook surrounding the network. The plan introduces a long-term strategy designed to support future ecosystem growth through better treasury management. At the same time, whale activity continues increasing across both spot and derivatives markets. Those developments have improved market sentiment and placed the next major resistance level near $1.85 firmly on traders’ watchlists.

Sovereign Fund Proposal Boosts Market Confidence

NEAR has now recorded four consecutive days of gains, showing renewed buying interest after weeks of slower trading. The steady recovery has encouraged traders to reassess the token’s near-term outlook. Confidence has continued improving as the broader crypto market stabilizes. Large investors also appear to support the latest rally. Average Order Size data shows whale participation increasing during recent sessions. Instead of reducing exposure after the price recovery, larger holders continue opening new positions.

Such behavior often signals confidence that the current trend still has room to extend. The derivatives market paints a similar picture. Funding Rates have remained above zero for several weeks, showing that long traders continue paying a premium to maintain bullish positions. Positive Funding Rates generally indicate stronger confidence among leveraged participants. When combined with steady spot buying, those conditions often support a healthier market structure.

Can NEAR Reach $1.85?

Technical analysis also supports a constructive outlook. NEAR has traded inside a bullish pennant pattern for several months. This formation has repeatedly attracted buyers whenever price revisits support. Another successful rebound recently developed near the $1.60 level. Buyers defended that zone and preserved the higher-low structure that continues guiding the current recovery.

The latest advance has strengthened bullish momentum while keeping price comfortably inside the established trend. Traders now focus on the next major liquidity area near $1.85. More than $1 million in liquidity sits around that region, making the level an important resistance zone where sellers could become more active.

Several factors continue supporting the current outlook. Whale accumulation remains healthy. Positive Funding Rates reflect growing confidence among futures traders. The proposed Sovereign Fund has also improved long-term sentiment surrounding the network. If buyers continue defending pennant support, momentum could carry NEAR toward $1.85 before facing stronger selling pressure.

The wave of AI Agents and US Treasury yields are splitting the US stock market into two worlds: Meta's release of the Muse model boosted its market value by $220 billion in a single week, propelling the Nasdaq's standout performance; however, excluding AI stocks, the S&P 500 actually fell 1% this week, with the number of new lows on the New York Stock Exchange surpassing new highs for nine consecutive days, signaling the near end of "breadth trading." Goldman Sachs bluntly stated that this is a "frustrating cat-and-mouse game" between the stock market and interest rates—any breakout can be snuffed out by the bond market at any time, so equity holders must short US Treasury bonds to hedge simultaneously.
