Bitwise Q3 Staking Report: Ethereum Staked Reaches 40.2 Million ETH, Accounting for 33% of Total Supply
Foresight News reports that Bitwise has released its staking report for the third quarter of 2026. Currently, 40.2 million ETH have been staked, accounting for 33% of the total supply. This year, the increase in staking mainly comes from institutions, including staking ETFs, corporate treasuries, and other large holders, continuing to grow even as prices fall. Staking ratios on other networks also remain high: Solana at 68%, Near at 45%, Hyperliquid at 44%, and Avalanche at 41%. Ethereum’s throughput has risen 73% year-over-year, and Avalanche’s transaction volume has quadrupled compared to last year. Institutional staking is also expanding into emerging networks.
