HYPE Staking Jumps 40% as Hyperliquid Battles to Defend Key $52 Support

  • Hyperliquid staking increased 40%, reducing liquid supply and signaling stronger long-term holder confidence.
  • HYPE retested the crucial $52 to $58 demand zone after a sharp market correction.
  • Holding above $52 could support a recovery toward the next major resistance at $64.

Hyperliquid — HYPE, has returned to a critical price zone after another sharp correction. While recent selling has tested investor confidence, on-chain activity tells a different story. Long-term holders continue locking away large amounts of HYPE instead of selling into weakness. That behavior has shifted attention toward the token’s long-term outlook. With staking activity climbing sharply and price testing major support, traders now watch closely for signs of the next decisive move.

Rising Staking Activity Signals Long-term Confidence

HYPE resumed a deeper correction after a brief pause earlier this month. The decline pushed price back into one of the strongest demand zones on the chart. Even as market sentiment weakened, long-term holders continued increasing exposure instead of reducing positions. One major participant recently staked 1.49 million HYPE, valued at roughly $88.2 million. The tokens were distributed across eight separate wallets rather than remaining inside one address.

Blockchain data also revealed those wallets held HYPE for roughly nine months before staking. That extended holding period suggests long-term conviction rather than short-term speculation. Such behavior often reflects confidence despite temporary market weakness. Broader network activity supports that view. Hyperliquid recently recorded a 40% increase in net staking flows. Total staked HYPE has now climbed to around 436 million tokens.

That increase highlights growing participation from investors seeking staking rewards instead of immediate profits. Higher staking also reduces liquid supply available across exchanges. Fewer tradable tokens can strengthen price if buying demand increases. However, staking alone cannot guarantee sustained appreciation. Market demand must continue improving before stronger rallies develop. Current timing has attracted additional attention because higher staking coincides with price returning to an important demand zone.

Can Buyers Protect the $52 Support?

Daily price action continues showing a constructive longer-term structure despite recent weakness. HYPE has returned to the important demand area between $52 and $58. Buyers defended this region during previous corrections, making current levels especially important. Another technical factor strengthens this support. The 200-day exponential moving average currently sits near $57.09 inside the same demand zone.

Although HYPE remains below the 20-day and 50-day moving averages, longer-term support continues holding. Successful defense of this region could signal continued accumulation from patient investors. Long-term holders may quietly absorb available supply while short-term traders remain cautious. Such activity often creates stronger foundations before future recoveries.

A decisive move below $52 would weaken the current bullish structure. Such a breakdown could encourage additional selling pressure and delay recovery efforts. Buyers therefore face an important test during coming sessions. If demand strengthens and support remains intact, attention would likely shift toward resistance near $64.
