Australia's S&P Global Manufacturing PMI rises to 51.7 in July

The preliminary reading of Australia's S&P Global Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) rose to 51.7 in July versus 51.5 prior, the latest data published by S&P Global showed on Friday.

Australia’s S&P Global Services PMI jumped to 53.0 in July from the previous reading of 50.5, while the Composite PMI climbed to 52.6 in July versus 50.4 prior. 

Market reaction

The preliminary reading of Australia's PMI data for July has little to no impact to the Australian Dollar (AUD). The AUD/USD pair holds negative ground near 0.6968.
