India is the world's second-largest sugar producer after Brazil. On Thursday in the London market, the most actively traded white sugar contract rose by as much as 1.4% before giving up most of its gains. In the New York market, raw sugar futures rose by as much as 1.2%, but similarly erased those gains. Expand
