Bank of Canada: Stablecoin regulations may be introduced in the second half of 2027
According to ChainCatcher, Reuters reported that Carolyn Rogers, Senior Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada, stated while testifying before the Senate that the design of Canada's stablecoin regulatory framework is fully underway and is expected to be introduced between mid and late 2027.
She noted that the previously planned target for early 2027 was rather ambitious.
