Survey: The top three countries adopting Solidity are India, Nigeria, and the United States
Foresight News reports that the Solidity team has released the 2025 Solidity Developer Survey, with responses collected from 1,095 developers across 87 countries and regions. Of the respondents, 70% are smart contract developers, 12% are auditors or security experts, and 18% are students. Half of the respondents have two years or less of experience using Solidity, and 49% use Solidity every day. The top three countries by number of respondents are India (205), Nigeria (148), and the United States (83). 74% of respondents are between 18 and 34 years old.
88% of users use artificial intelligence tools at least once a month, and 58% use them daily. However, 45% of users express distrust in the outputs generated by artificial intelligence. Developers are adopting AI much faster than they are building trust in it. The most common AI application scenarios are testing (61%), writing code documentation (59%), and learning codebases (58%).
