According to a memorandum seen by CNBC, OpenAI plans to reach a computing power scale of 30 gigawatts by 2030, while Anthropic is expected to reach only about 7 to 8 gigawatts by the end of 2027. "Even at the upper end of their range, our expansion speed far surpasses theirs, and the gap continues to widen," OpenAI stated. In the market of rapid iteration for large language models and artificial intelligence services, both companies are fiercely competing for industry leadership, with OpenAI’s concerns about Anthropic increasingly intensifying. The combined valuation of both enterprises has already exceeded 1 trillion dollars, and each is preparing for a possible IPO this year, while trying to convince investors that they have sustainable business models capable of withstanding competition from well-funded companies like Google and Meta.

Rare in 25 years! The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield surpasses the S&P 500 earnings yield

The 10-year US Treasury yield has surpassed 5%, making bonds more attractive relative to stocks than at any point in the past 25 years. The earnings yield of stocks, as measured by the inverse of the S&P 500’s price-to-earnings ratio, is now lower than the 10-year US Treasury yield, resulting in a clear yield suppression effect on the stock market from bonds. According to the Shiller model, the S&P 500 may outperform bonds by only about 1% annually over the next decade. The 20-year paradigm of stocks outperforming bonds has officially come to an end.
