The transaction aims to propel Boralex onto its next stage of growth as an independent private company. According to the terms of the agreement, Brookfield will jointly acquire all of Boralex's shares together with the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. After the transaction is completed, Boralex will continue to operate independently, leveraging the capital strength and global resource network of its new shareholders to accelerate its strategic expansion in the renewable energy sector. This acquisition marks a key step in the consolidation of Canada's renewable energy industry and injects new momentum into Boralex's development of clean energy projects such as wind and solar power.
