US Dollar Regains Strength After Previous Decline
After a period of weakness, the US Dollar rebounded significantly last week, with the DXY index climbing back to a key long-term level on the chart. The 97.94 Fibonacci mark, which first became significant in April of the previous year, once again played a pivotal role. Following a sharp decline in early 2025, this level sparked a recovery for the dollar. Although sellers managed to push the price below this threshold, they struggled to maintain momentum, as 97.94 alternated between acting as resistance and support throughout the remainder of the year, particularly in December. The start of 2026 saw another attempt to break lower, but sellers were unable to sustain any meaningful move beneath this critical point, even when the opportunity arose.
