Trump's son Eric invests in a drone company focused on "low lethality cost"
Eric Trump, son of former President Donald Trump, is making significant bets in the drone sector—a field that has become an increasing focus for the Pentagon, now led by his father. The son of the US president is investing in Israeli drone manufacturer Xtend, a company set to go public through a merger with a small Florida construction company in a deal valued at $1.5 billion.
Xtend's drones have been battle-tested in recent Israeli military operations in Gaza, with some of its products promoted for their "low-cost lethality" munitions, aligning with directives from the US Department of Defense to modernize warfare. The company has opened a factory in Florida and stated it has secured a multimillion-dollar contract with the Pentagon, while also participating in a new round of supplier bidding for the US Department of Defense.
Xtend CEO Aviv Shapira stated, "By merging with JFB Construction, we will gain the capital needed to expand domestic manufacturing in the US and open channels to access the US public markets."
