[Important notice] Futures elite trading system upgrade

Dear Bitget futures elite trader,

To align with the platform-wide upgrade to the unified trading account (UTA), we will conduct a mandatory phased migration of the classic futures elite trading system to the new UTA futures elite portfolio system. Review the details of this upgrade plan in advance and manage your elite trading positions accordingly.

Upgrade schedule

The upgrade will be rolled out in five phases based on the number of copiers. We will verify the stability of each phase before proceeding to the next.

Phase 1 upgrade details—elite traders with no copiers

Who will be upgraded?

Classic futures elite traders with no copiers (main account + sub-accounts)

When will the upgrade start?

The system will automatically scan eligible accounts and process them in two batches based on account equity. No manual action is required from you throughout the process.

Batch A (equity = 0): Accounts with no funds, open positions, or orders will be upgraded directly by the system.
Batch B (equity > 0): The system will wait until you close your positions before proceeding with the upgrade If you still have pending orders, your account will be skipped during the current scan. The system will not cancel orders on your behalf. Your account status will be checked again during the next scan. The upgrade will only proceed when you have no open positions or orders.

What happens after the upgrade?

All your elite trading settings, including profit-share ratio, minimum copy trading amount, maximum copiers, and open position protection, will be automatically synchronized to the new elite portfolio system.
Historical total profit will be accurately calculated based on order data, fully migrated to the new system, and continue to accumulate. Historical daily return on investment (ROI) will be carried forward as the baseline, with subsequent returns incorporated into the new ROI using a time-weighted method. Since legacy ROI is migrated on a daily basis, there may be minor differences from the ROI displayed before the upgrade. This is normal. Copier profits will also be migrated accordingly.
Sub-account elite traders: The balance of your legacy elite trading sub-account will be automatically returned to your spot account. Once the new UTA elite trading sub-account is created, the funds will be automatically transferred into it, allowing you to continue elite trading directly.
Main-account elite traders: Your upgrade path depends on your spot elite trading activity over the past 180 days. There are two possible scenarios:
- If you have spot elite trading assets or have spot elite trading records in the past 180 days: The upgrade process will be the same as for sub-accounts. The system will first migrate your futures elite trader status internally to the sub-account structure, then upgrade you to the new UTA futures elite portfolio system. The balance of your new elite portfolio will be 0. After the upgrade, go to the new Elite Trader Center to transfer funds into your elite portfolio.
- If you have no spot elite trading assets and no spot elite trading records in the past 180 days: The system will revoke your classic futures elite trader status and upgrade you directly to the UTA futures elite portfolio system. Your spot elite trader status will also be revoked. If you wish to resume spot elite trading in the future, you can reapply to become a spot elite trader. The balance of your new elite portfolio will be 0. After the upgrade, you can transfer funds into your elite portfolio.

Once the upgrade is complete, you will receive a system notification. You will also see a pop-up reminder confirming the upgrade details the next time you enter the copy trading page or elite trade zone.

Recommendations

For elite traders with existing copiers (not included in Phase 1): Phase 1 applies only to accounts with no copiers and will not affect you. However, please keep an eye on upcoming upgrade announcements, plan your positions accordingly, and ensure that your account is in an appropriate state when the upgrade takes place.
For accounts with no copiers: Note that the upgrade will only be triggered when there are no open positions or active orders. If you have open positions or unfilled orders, the system will not close or cancel them on your behalf. The upgrade will proceed automatically once the conditions are met. If you would like to upgrade sooner, close all positions and cancel all orders in advance.
Main-account elite traders: Your upgrade path depends on your spot elite trading activity. If you have spot elite trading records in the past 180 days (or spot elite trading assets), the system will first internally migrate your futures elite trader status to the sub-account structure before proceeding with the upgrade. Your spot elite trader status under your main account will be retained. If you have no spot elite trading assets and no spot elite trading records in the past 180 days, the system will revoke your classic futures and spot elite trader statuses and upgrade your account. If you wish to resume spot elite trading in the future, you can reapply under the new spot elite trading system. In both cases, the balance of your new elite portfolio will be 0. After the upgrade, you can transfer funds into your elite portfolio.
