Bitget Broker UTA Unified Trading Account API Upgrade Notice

Dear Broker Partners,
 
Thank you for your continued attention and support for Bitget’s broker business. To continuously improve the user trading experience, Bitget has enabled retail users with assets of USD 1,000 or more to independently upgrade to UTA (Unified Trading Account). Some broker clients may have already completed, or may soon complete, the account upgrade from a Classic Account to a UTA Unified Trading Account.
 
Please note that API Keys for UTA Unified Trading Accounts cannot access Classic Account API endpoints. If your clients have upgraded to a UTA Unified Account, you will need to upgrade your existing API integration to UTA API (V3) to ensure you can continue providing stable trading services to those clients.
 
The main items involved in this upgrade include:
 
  • UTA API V3 endpoint adaptation: UTA API (V3) must be used for trading and account operations related to Unified Accounts.
  • WebSocket domain update: UTA API (V3) uses a new WebSocket domain.
  • API URL update: UTA API (V3) uses new API URLs.
  • Compatibility adjustment between Classic Accounts and UTA Accounts: UTA Account API Keys do not support calling Classic Account API endpoints.
     
To ensure business continuity and avoid impacts on customer trading experience caused by account type incompatibility, we strongly recommend that you complete the UTA API (V3) adaptation and upgrade as soon as possible. For relevant API descriptions or technical documentation, please refer to the links below:
 
If you are temporarily unable to complete the UTA V3 API upgrade, you may adopt a transitional solution: even if a client’s main account has been upgraded to UTA, they can still create Classic Mode sub-accounts and connect those sub-accounts to your existing trading services. However, to ensure long-term service stability, we still recommend that you complete the UTA API (V3) integration upgrade as soon as possible.
