About XRP (XRP)

XRP (XRP live price)is the native digital asset of the XRP Ledger (XRPL), a public, open‑source network built for fast, low‑cost value transfer. Instead of mining, the XRPL reaches agreement on which transactions are valid using the Ripple Protocol Consensus Algorithm (RPCA). The design targets correctness and agreement while keeping confirmation times short, so transactions can finalize in seconds under normal conditions.

In RPCA, validators iteratively share proposals and converge on a transaction set for the next ledger. The final round requires a super‑majority of roughly 80% agreement within each validator’s Unique Node List (UNL). When that threshold is met, the ledger closes and becomes the network’s new “ground truth”. This staged process lets the network keep moving even if some nodes are slow or faulty, preserving reliable settlement for payments at scale.

Why XRP matters for payments and liquidity

Fast, predictable finality is the headline. When payments settle in seconds, treasurers and exchanges can move value with less operational friction and tighter working‑capital cycles. Fees are generally low, which helps both small remittances and institutional‑size flows.

XRP can also act as a bridge asset between currency pairs. In corridors where direct liquidity is thin, routing via XRP can reduce slippage and improve execution. Beyond payments, the XRPL supports issued assets, a built‑in decentralized exchange, and tokenization—features that broaden utility and deepen on‑ledger liquidity over time.

Supply and circulation

XRP has a fixed supply of 100 billion units created at inception. Circulating supply has been shaped by historical distributions, escrow mechanics associated with Ripple, and secondary‑market dynamics across exchanges and OTC venues. On the demand side, payment volume, liquidity‑bridging use, and on‑ledger activity influence how much XRP market participants need at any given time.

What moves the Ripple current price: lawsuit, ETF narrative, and Digital Asset Treasury (DAT)

Ripple lawsuit

Regulatory milestones have been the single biggest swing factor for the XRP price. The SEC’s complaint in December 2020 coincided with U.S. exchange suspensions and a steep drawdown. In July 2023, a partial summary judgment concluding that programmatic exchange sales were not investment contracts sparked a rapid rally—intraday gains of around 70%—and multiple relistings. Through 2024, updates in the remedies phase produced shorter, news‑driven bursts of volatility as traders handicapped the endgame.

The mechanism is straightforward. Clarity lowers perceived legal risk, encourages listings, and attracts deeper liquidity. That typically tightens spreads and strengthens order‑book depth. Negative developments do the opposite, widening spreads and reducing risk appetite among market makers and institutions.

ETF and ETP landscape

Exchange‑traded access matters because it can broaden the investor base and add systematic flows. In the United States, as of my latest verified information (October 2024), there was no approved spot XRP ETF, and the absence of a large, regulated U.S. futures market limited a futures‑ETF route. Europe and other jurisdictions have offered XRP exchange‑traded products (ETPs) for years on venues such as SIX and Xetra, mainly serving professional and institutional channels. Their impact has been incremental rather than explosive compared with major legal rulings.

You asked for a September 2025 update on “who filed” and “what kind of ETF,” plus the price reaction after each headline. I don’t have real‑time access beyond October 2024. If you share the 2025 filings or approvals you want covered (issuer, spot vs. futures, listing venue, and the announcement date), I’ll add precise, human‑readable summaries with the observed price reaction in the T+0 to T+3 day window and notes on spreads and order‑book depth.

Digital Asset Treasury (DAT)

DAT is how companies and institutions hold and use crypto on their balance sheets. For XRP, treasuries matter because they can create steady, non‑speculative demand. When a payment provider or corporate treasury accumulates XRP to bridge fiat currencies or to fund cross‑border settlements, it adds incremental buy pressure. When they rebalance or unwind, that demand can fade.

Transparency also plays a role. Markets pay close attention to escrow schedules, sale frameworks, and any shift toward buybacks or accumulation. Derivatives hedging by treasuries—via perpetuals or options—feeds into funding rates, basis, and implied volatility, which in turn shapes spot price discovery. Macro policy changes, quarter‑end positioning, or shifts in cash‑management preferences can all show up as short, sharp moves in the XRP price.

How to read the XRP price on this page

Start with the live XRP price, market cap, and 24‑hour volume to gauge momentum. Look across multiple timeframes to separate noise from trend. During headline risk—lawsuit rulings, ETF filings or denials, large custody integrations—watch spreads and top‑of‑book depth. Tighter spreads and thicker books often follow positive clarity or broader access.

**Bitcoin is trading around $77,000–$78,000 (holding near $77,500–$77,800 after dipping toward $76,400), Ethereum is softer near $2,400, and total crypto market cap sits near $2.7 trillion, with BTC dominance elevated around 56–58%.** ### Market Snapshot (September 3, 2026) - **Bitcoin**: Rebounded above $77,500 (some reports near $77,600–$77,800) after defending the ~$76,350 area (linked to active investor cost basis). It faces resistance toward $80,000 amid an estimated large supply cluster of holders around current levels. Spot Bitcoin ETFs showed mixed/recent inflows in some reports (~$101M in one session) but also noted outflows in others. - **Ethereum**: Lagging, trading around $2,400–$2,407 (slight declines in several updates). Ethereum ETFs saw outflows in recent sessions. - **Other majors**: XRP leading gains among large caps (around $1.36–$1.37, up ~3%), with strength tied to ETF inflows and network activity. BNB, Solana (~$100+), and others mixed-to-positive. Some smaller/narrative tokens (GameFi, memes, Robinhood Chain-related like PONS/AKE) saw sharp moves. - Sentiment is cautious/neutral-to-bearish overall (high BTC dominance limiting alt breadth), with macro pressure from elevated oil prices (Brent near/above $90–$95) and geopolitical tensions (US-Iran related) weighing on risk assets. Fed rate-hike odds for the September meeting eased somewhat in some updates. ### Key Headlines Today / Recent - **Regulatory & institutional**: Australia’s ASIC is pressing crypto/custody firms on AFS licensing ahead of a Sept 30 deadline (fines possible from Oct 1). Wyoming adopted Chainlink Proof of Reserve for its state stablecoin (FRNT). Citi, Goldman and others are lining up behind a dollar stablecoin initiative. SEC discussions around treating blockchains as official records for securities, with industry pushback on product restrictions. Singapore moving to ban stablecoin yield (aligning with US/EU approaches). - **Tether**: Lawsuit alleges Tether froze ~$42.4M in USDT months before a formal warrant. TRON USDT supply hit high levels (reports of surpassing Ethereum totals in some metrics). - **ETFs & flows**: XRP ETFs extended inflow streaks in recent sessions. Bitcoin ETFs mixed but generally more resilient than Ethereum. Goldman noted among leading XRP ETF holders. - **Other notable**: Binance expanding TradFi options/perps (including stocks). Standard Chartered opening spot BTC/ETH trading for UAE institutions. Coinbase adding futures (BTC/ETH/SOL) in Canada with leverage. CFTC seeking to dismiss a CME case related to crypto perpetuals. Catastrophe bonds exploring on-chain/tokenization paths. Some reports of DOJ/FBI actions involving crypto seizures. Robinhood Chain activity driving certain token narratives. **Macro backdrop**: Cooling jobs data (weaker private payrolls) provided some relief on yields, but high oil and geopolitical risks are keeping inflation/Fed concerns alive ahead of the September FOMC and Friday jobs report. Bitcoin has shown relative resilience as a potential hedge in some analyses amid yen strength and shifting bond dynamics. Markets remain range-bound near key levels with elevated volatility potential from macro data and geopolitics. Prices and flows can shift quickly—check live sources for the latest. This is a summary of reported developments as of early-to-mid September 3, 2026 (IST/UTC variations across sources).

$BTC On September 2, Bitcoin spot ETFs brought in about 101 million dollars in net inflows for that single day. That pushed the total sitting inside these funds up to roughly 97.22 billion dollars, with cumulative inflows since launch reaching around 54.73 billion. Trading volume that day was close to 1.73 billion dollars, which is way higher than any other crypto ETF category out there right now. $ETH Now compare that to what happened with the altcoins on that exact same day. Ethereum ETFs lost about 48 million dollars in outflows. XRP had it worse, losing close to 57.2 million, the biggest single day drop out of the three. Solana lost a smaller amount, around 6.13 million. If you only looked at that one day, you'd think people were running away from altcoins completely. $XRP But here's the thing, when you zoom out to the past 30 days, the story looks a lot different. Ethereum actually brought in 1.83 billion dollars over the month, keeping its total inflows around 13.03 billion. XRP's 30 day number is still positive too, sitting at 165.22 million, with total inflows near 1.68 billion since it started. Solana followed the same pattern, pulling in 197.60 million over the month, with total inflows around 1.34 billion. So even with one rough day, the bigger monthly trend for altcoins hasn't actually broken. XRP's price is currently sitting around 1.36 dollars, right near its 200 day moving average of 1.35, with support forming around 1.29 on the 20 day average. That kind of price action fits right into the same cautious mood showing up across the ETF flows.

$XRP BIS just tested XRPL for something most people never expected: locking official economic stats on-chain. They don’t store the full dataset on XRPL They store the hash of the file in a memo Anyone can verify in ~1–2s if the stats were altered after publication Median latency: 3–5s to publish. Cost: pennies. Use case: tamper-proof data for governments, central banks, and AI models that consume official stats. This is exactly the kind of “boring but critical” utility XRPL needs: not another meme coin, but infrastructure that makes trusted data verifiable by design. If this scales, “XRP ledger” and “official statistics” might start appearing in the same sentence a lot more often. #XRP #XRPL #Blockchain #Fintech #AI

Remixpoint just made a clear bet on Bitcoin. Japan-listed Remixpoint sold its entire $ETH , SOL, XRP and DOGE positions on Sept. 1, booking roughly $742K in gains across the four assets. ETH delivered ~$379K, SOL ~$311K and XRP ~$72K. DOGE was the only loser, with 2.8M DOGE sold for ~$234K, around $21K below its fiscal-year opening book value. The bigger signal is what came next: Remixpoint is now concentrating its crypto exposure entirely in Bitcoin. The company still holds around 1,506 BTC worth more than $115M, making BTC its only remaining cryptocurrency. This looks less like a simple trade and more like a portfolio decision: fewer altcoin positions, lower token-specific risk and a stronger focus on Bitcoin. Is this smart risk management, or is Remixpoint giving up too much upside by abandoning altcoins?
